Bee shrimp is also known as Caridina cantonensis. It is small in size and is prized for striking coloration and delicate patterns.. The shrimp inhabits clean, slow-flowing mountain streams. It is native to Asia (including Taiwan and southern China). The shrimp is selective bred to create variations such as Crystal Red, Ghost Bee, Golden Bee, and Taiwan Bee Shrimp. It requires stable, soft acidic water and careful maintenance to thrive.
