Dusky Corydoras Fish Guide
The Dusky Corydoras (Corydoras septentrionalis), a small freshwater catfish also known as the Northern Longnose Cory, is loved by aquarists for its unique snout and calm nature. Its length is from around 2 to around 2.5 inches. It suits aquariums that are medium-sized perfectly. When it comes to appearance, it has a dusky grey body that gives it a simple look. Gentle whiskers also give it a charming sort of look.
Dusky Corydoras Origin
This species originates in South America within the Orinoco River basin. They live in the wild, in slow waters with soft sand bottoms. They behave in specific ways according to their natural habitat.
Dusky Corydoras Temperament
Dusky Corydoras are very calm fish. Most of their time is, in fact, spent at the bottom of that tank. They are gently foraging for food there. Being schooling fish, they feel happy as well as safe when they are kept in groups of six or five at the very least.
Compatibility with other fishes
They do get along well with other calm community fish. Tetras, rasboras, and guppies are examples of fish that are calm. They should not be kept with large or aggressive fish, as they may nip at their fins or outcompete them for food.
Dusky Corydoras Price Range
