X-Ray Tetra fish is a small, peaceful, translucent-bodied freshwater marine popular in community aquariums. It is also known as X-Ray fish & Pristella Tetra fish. They boast a semi-transparent body that offers visibility of internal structures like the backbone. Thus, giving the fish “X-Ray” name.

X-Ray Tetra Fish are native to South American river systems (Amazon, Orinoco basins, and coastal rivers). It inhabits slow-moving waters with soft substrates and vegetation. They are suitable for beginner aquarists as well.
