Cane Corso

Cane Corso is a smart, assertive, noble- bearing and confident breed, originally from Italy. Their lineage goes back to ancient Roman times where the breed name is roughly translated in Latin as ‘Bodyguard dog '. 

They were primarily bred for the purpose of guarding. Hence, they are also called ‘Cane Corso Italiano’ or ‘Italian Cane Corso’.

A Cane Corso is typically a working dog. They served as watchdogs, farm-hands and canine soldiers. They are muscular, versatile, and eager-to-please dog breeds. They are highly trainable and have protective instincts. They are loving dogs, especially with family. However, they need early socialization, consistent leadership and mental stimulation to prevent loneliness.
